Chinese market opened for the Ukrainian poultry producers

Ukraine and China signed a Memorandum on cooperation and promotion of mutual trade of poultry meat. This is reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, according to agropolit.com.

Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection Volodymyr Lapa signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection on cooperation and promotion of mutual trade of poultry meat between Ukraine and China.

According to Volodymyr Lapa, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will contribute to the development and strengthening of cooperation, the expansion of bilateral trade between Ukraine and the PRC, and the increase in the types of imported and export goods.

"This Memorandum will open new opportunities for diversifying the market for Ukrainian poultry meat, enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian food products in world markets, which will positively affect the image of Ukraine as a reliable trading partner and will contribute to the development of the state economy," the head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection said.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will ensure the mutual exchange of information, documentation, results of achievements on the prevention and control of poultry and other poultry diseases, the risk assessment and control negotiations and the sanitary requirements necessary for the sale of poultry meat.
