The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT) together with the regional state administrations (RSA) will establish a chain of business support centers in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by 2020, finance.ua reported.

According to Maksym Nefodov, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, it is important to establish feedback with the regions regarding the needs of small entrepreneurs.

"It is important to start transforming the results of work with international technical assistance projects into sustainable public policy instruments, because until now many projects in the field of enterprise development are funded by the funds of international donors. It is also very important to establish feedback with the regions on the needs of small entrepreneurs, which will ensure the development of effective solutions in this direction," Maksym Nefodov. said

The business support centers will provide a basic level of free information and advisory support. They will inform about available SME support programs, conduct educational activities.

The MEDT also plans to create an information portal for entrepreneurs on the basis of the official website of the ministry and implement a "pilot" project on the implementation of the mechanism of partial credit guarantees.
