The bill №4024а "On Stimulation of the Development of Domestic Machinery for the Agro-Industrial Complex", registered in the Parliament, will allow to modernize agricultural machinery in machine-building plants and make it cheaper by 20-30%. This is written on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, АgroРolit.com reported.

The explanatory note to the draft law states that the main objectives and tasks of its adoption are to create a legislative and regulatory framework for the possibility of comprehensive modernization at the domestic machine-building plants for the agro-industrial complex of obsolete equipment, attracting funds at both the state and regional levels.

"It is necessary to improve the situation that is currently being created with the provision of households with mobile energy sources, primarily tractors, there are more than 300,000 units of them in the agro-industrial complex. This will significantly increase the level of technical equipment of farms and reduce the average load per tractor, which today is more than 105 hectares, while in Canada - 64 hectares, in the USA - less than 38, in France - less than 16, in Germany and Great Britain - less than 12 hectares," the authors of the bill said.

They noted that the restored equipment will be 20-30% cheaper than the similar new one; it will not yield to it in terms of technical characteristics and will be fully competitive in the market.

"At present, the tractor-building enterprises of the domestic machine-building industry have mastered and put into serial production new modern models of machinery that are practically inferior to foreign analogues and fully adapted to our weather and climate conditions. They are ready to begin implementing programs for the comprehensive modernization and renewal of obsolete vehicles on their own enterprises to the level of those that are serially produced today," is said in the explanatory note.

It is also reported that there are more than 48 thousand farms of all forms of ownership and management in the Ukrainian agroindustrial complex, about 40 thousand of which are private farms and farms.

"According to the operative data of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 60-70% of the total amount of equipment that are exploited have practically worked out the depreciation terms, they are morally and physically obsolete and require replacement," the authors of the bill noted.
