The bill on stimulating the production of biofuels is registered in the Parliament

This is stated in the message of the State Energy Efficiency on the page in Facebook.

So, on November 29, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 7348, developed jointly with the State Energy Efficiency Agency, regarding the development of the production of liquid fuels from biomass, in particular bioethanol and biodiesel.

Initiators of the bill were made by 35 people's deputies of different factions.

The main provisions of the bill number 7348 is the establishment of mandatory quotas for producers and importers of motor fuel on the content of biocomponents in the total volume of their sale in the customs territory of Ukraine and penalties for their non-compliance.

As the chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Serhii Savchuk explained, the adoption of the draft law will contribute to: creating a guaranteed market for the production and use of liquid biofuels in Ukraine; increased investment in this sector; the construction of new plants for the production of bioethanol and biodiesel; loading of distilleries and production potential of adjacent spheres; increasing revenues to budgets of all levels; creation of additional jobs.
