ASF: new cases in the Odesa region

According to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, 4 cases of African swine fever (the ASF) were recorded on the territory of the Odesa region since July 19 to July 25.

  • 19.07.2018 — on the territory of the Danube Biosphere Reserve (Kubanskyi Island) of the Kiliiskyi region among wild pigs;

  • 24.07.2018 — on the territory of the Tatarbunarskyi district, near the village of Dyviziia, 2 corpses of domestic pigs were found;

  • 25.07.2018 — on the territory of the Ofitserske area near the village of Orlovka of the Reniiskyi district among wild pigs;

  • 25.07.2018 — on the territory near the village of Vladychen of the Bolhradskyi district among wild pigs.  

    All cases of African swine fever are confirmed by laboratory tests.

    In the foci of the disease measures are taken to localize and prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF.
