At the meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations the People's Deputies examined the draft Law of Ukraine on Amendments to Law No. 6355 and the alternative draft law No. 6355-1 "On State Support of Agricultural Insurance".

According to the announcement, both bills are aimed at strengthening the protection of property interests of agricultural producers and ensuring the stability of production of agricultural products.
It is noted that the law "On the peculiarities of agricultural insurance with state support" presupposes the existence of the Agricultural Insurance Pool as a single voluntary association of insurers engaged in agricultural insurance with state financial support.
While the Law "On State Support of Agricultural Insurance" provides for the reform of the current model of state support for agricultural insurance through the formation of the State Agency of Agricultural Insurance as a legal entity of public law established in the organizational and legal form of the institution to perform the functions and tasks in the area of agricultural insurance defined law.
According to the communication, the Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt as a basis the draft Law of Ukraine on State Support of Agricultural Insurance No. 6355-1, and to decline the draft Law of Ukraine on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine on the Specifics of Insurance for Agricultural Products with State Support No. 6355.
