Last week, 19 new outbreaks were recorded among wild boars (total 533) and the 103rd case among domestic pigs.

Farmers demand that more wild boars can be shot east of the Wisla, and the government promises that the problem of reducing the wildlife population will be solved, the National Union of Employers of Pig Producers reports. Experts of the National Union of Employers of Pig Producers, however, doubt that this will happen, because such an important issue can not be trusted by amateur hunters.

According to industry representatives, anti-epizootic measures are not applied by the veterinary authorities of Poland. Therefore, for example, it is not always possible to destroy all pigs within a radius of 3 km from the source of the disease. As a result, new outbreaks soon occur in neighboring farms.

Pig breeders come to the conclusion that the lack of sanitary shooting of wild boars and the destruction of pigs in farms, and not observing the rules of biosafety in the area of ASF focus, leads to the fact that the virus is still moving to the west of Europe.
