The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a draft law on reform of agricultural cooperation in September after returning from summer vacations. This was stated by the deputy chairman of the agrarian committee of the parliament Oleksandr Bakumenko, the correspondent of Agronews reported.
Parliament during the "agrarian day" on Tuesday could not consider a new bill on cooperation due to lack of time.
"I hope that we will introduce it in September during a single agrarian day in the parliament and vote for it in the first reading," said Bakumenko at a press conference on Thursday.
He added that the new law "through the system of cooperation will give farmers the opportunity to unite, consolidate product lots, obtain logistics and enter the market." In addition, according to him, an important point is that the bill creates opportunities for the association of legal entities in cooperatives.
