Vegetables, fruits and eggs have grown in price in the Cherkasy region

The Main Department of Statistics in the Cherkasy region reports that inflation in the consumer market of the Cherkassy region in January 2018 compared to the previous month amounted to 1.1%, writes the "Nova Doba".

Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.2%. The most (by 5.7-4%) rose in price vegetables, fruits and eggs. Prices for milk and dairy products, pasta, meat and meat products, fish and fish products, rice, bread increased by 1.9-0.7%. At the same time, buckwheat and bacon fell in price by 1.7-0.7%.

Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products grew in price by 1%, which is due to a rise in price of tobacco products by 2.5%.

Clothes and footwear became cheaper by 3.8%, in particular, footwear - by 6%, clothing - by 2.5%.
The growth of prices (tariffs) for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3% was mainly due to a rise in price of materials for maintenance and repair of housing by 2.1%, an increase in tariffs for the maintenance of houses and adjacent territories by 1,5%, and heating - by 1.2%. At the same time, tariffs for sewerage and water supply decreased by 0.5% and 0.4%.

In the healthcare sector, prices increased by 1%, which was primarily due to a rise in the cost of hospital services by 4.1% and outpatient services by 3.4%.

The increase in prices for transport in general by 3.2% is mainly due to a rise in price of fuel and oils, cars by 4.4%, and transport services - by 2%.

In the sphere of communications, prices rose by 2.7%, which is due to a rise in the price of postal services by 25% and local telephony - by 8.2%. Prices for restaurants and hotels increased by 0.8%. Different goods and services became more expensive by 1.2%
