By 2050 the population in Ukraine will be reduced to about 36 million people. This is stated in the review of the prospects of world urbanization by 2050 by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations, UNN reported.

Thus, according to the UN, by 2050 the population of Ukraine will be 36.4 million people. 28.5 million of which will reside in cities, and 7.7 thousand in villages. In 2050 in Ukraine there will be only 3 cities with million population.

In general, the world population will grow from almost 7.6 billion to 9.7 billion people, with the bulk of the urban population.

It bears reminding that earlier the UN reported that half of the world's countries do not have a common primary education. According to UNICEF estimates, if all children could read, today the number of people living below the poverty line would be less by 191 million people.
