Ukrainians consume milk and dairy products up to 50% of the physiological norm. Such statistics are due to the loss of buyers' confidence in industrial producers. Consumers cannot find a quality product on the shelves of grocery stores due to unscrupulous processing plants and incomprehensible marking, agroday.com.ua reported.

Studies by FAO and the EBRD show that over the past 9 years consumption of market dairy products has grown by 79%. However, industrial dairy products are bought by 25% less.

In general, if in 2013, according to official statistics, the average Ukrainian consumed 221 kg of dairy products per year, it was 210 kg in 2015. According to the results of the previous year, this figure is estimated at 189 kg. That is, during this time consumption has decreased by almost 15%.

At the same time, market experts note that unscrupulous dairy producers in Ukraine are not so many as we might think.

For example, butter in Ukraine is falsified not more than 10%. And this despite the fact that part of the counterfeit comes from retailers from unregistered producers who illegally manufacture their product.

But talking about the total falsification force the consumer to refuse to buy dairy products. Although there are poor-quality goods among meat products or confectioneries too.
