Ukrainian salo and pork are growing rapidly in price

More than 90% of products have risen in price in the first half of the year.

This is reported by URA-Inform.

The increase in prices affected virtually all food products, and the price increase was much faster than inflation, which in 2016 was 15.5%.

Especially in the price of meat has risen - pork has risen in price by 64%, and salo - by 44%. In Ukrainian markets, now a pound of pork can be bought for 101 UAH, salo - 65 UAH.

The main reason for the jump in prices for pork is considered the epidemic of ASF, over which about 26 thousand heads were destroyed.

The expert noted that in the next rise in prices for products, it remains to wait very briefly.
