Ukrainian agricultural exports increased by 16%

In 2017, exports of agricultural and food products from Ukraine increased by 16.3% compared to 2016

This was told by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on Eurointegration Olha Trofimtseva. The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

"According to the results of 2017, the export of Ukrainian agrarian and food products showed very positive results and amounted to more than $ 17.9 billion. Last year, this figure was $ 15.5 billion. Today, in the total volume of foreign trade in agrarian and food products, the share of exports is 79 4%, "- says Deputy Minister Olha Trofimtseva.

She added that the top three export leaders of Ukrainian agrarian and food products are headed by crops with a share of 36.2%, second place is occupied by vegetable oils - 25.1% and the third - oilseed seeds with a share in the structure of 11.3%.

"But the increase in Ukrainian exports was not only due to these product groups. Over the past year, the supply of Ukrainian processed and processed foods has increased significantly," notes Olha Trofimtseva.

She added that, in general, the amount of export of plant growing increased by $ 2.1 billion and amounted to $ 16.7 billion. In addition, the export of livestock products increased by $ 371.4 million and reached almost $ 1.3 billion.

"Today, the map of our agricultural exports is as follows: the countries of Asia - 42.6%, the European Union - 32.4%, the African countries - 14.2%, the CIS - 7.6%, the USA - 0.4% and other countries - 2.8%. The five leading countries, each of which acquired Ukrainian agrarian and food products for more than  $ 1 billion in 2017, including India, the Netherlands, Egypt, Spain and China, " sums up the Deputy Minister for European Integration.
