Ukrainian agrarian exports demonstrate stable growth

According to official statistics, the export of Ukrainian agrarian and food products for the eight months of this year increased by $ 2.3 billion, or 24.5% over the corresponding period of 2016, and amounted to almost $ 11.5 billion.

This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on issues of European integration Olha Trofimtseva.
 
"Over the period, Ukraine mainly exported the following groups of products: sunflower, safflower or cottonseed oil with a share of 26.25% of total agroexport, maize - 20.34%, wheat and wheat mixture - 12.87%, poultry - 2, 29% and others, "- says Olha Trofimtseva.
 
According to her, in the top five key buyers of Ukrainian agro products for this period included India, which exported goods worth $ 1.3 billion, Egypt - $ 986.1 million, the Netherlands - $ 762.8 million, Spain - $ 731 , 6 million, China - $ 631.8 million.
 
"The EU countries occupy the second place in the regional structure of our agricultural exports. At the same time, our exports to the European market increased by 37.3%, or by $ 988 million over the reporting period, and amounted to $ 3.6 billion, "notes Olha Trofimtseva.
 
She added that the share of the European Union in the overall structure of foreign trade turnover of agricultural products is 35.2%.
 
"It is interesting to note the increase in exports to the EU countries of processed foods such as vegetable oil, whose exports increased by 19.7% and reached $ 1.01 billion. We are also seeing growth in poultry meat and offal - $ 80.3 million, an increase of 80 , 7%, the cost of export of margarine products increased 8.4 times to $ 21.8 million, "- says Olha Trofimtsevaand added that also significant demand in the European market is used by such Ukrainian products as cereals and cereals - $ 62, 1 million, products of processing of vegetables, fruits - $ 26.6 million, juices - $ 24.4 million, and others.
 
"In general, these topical statistics give us the opportunity to forecast an increase in the annual value of Ukrainian exports of agrarian and food products by 15-20%," - says Deputy Minister for European Integration Olha Trofimtseva.
