Manufacturers of fresh dairy products consider September to be almost the best month of the year. On the one hand, the supply of inexpensive raw materials is still significant, on the other - the consumer demand is substantially increasing, INFAGRO reported.

In general, whole-milkers have a great time to make money. They allow themselves to increase the purchase prices of raw materials, but at the same time increase the selling prices for end products. In comparison with the prices of a month ago, the main commodity items became more expensive by 2-5%.

In mid-September fresh milk products in cheap packaging are sold by major operators mainly at the following prices:

milk 2,5%, 18,5-19,5 UAH/l

kefir 2,5%, 19,5-22,0 UAH/l

sour cream 15%, 46-50 UAH/kg

cottage cheese 9%: 95-110 UAH/kg

Whole-milkers would like to continue to raise prices, but not the fact that while they will be able to maintain the current rate of sales growth.

Operators of the market of fresh dairy products can boast growth not only in domestic sales, but also in external ones. Last month the export of ultrapasteurized milk (+ 62% by July, to 1.6 thousand tons) due to supplies to the Middle East increased very markedly. However, whole-milkers already trade on foreign markets not only with this category of products. A few sour-milk products are sold to Moldova and Georgia, yogurts - to Poland.

Import of fresh dairy products last month amounted to 700 tons.
