Ukraine and Turkey have made progress in negotiations on a free trade area (FTA), agreeing to bring agricultural products to an agreement next to industrial, said Ukraine's trade representative - Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nataliia Mykolska, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

"Negotiations are continuing, so until everything is agreed, I cannot disclose information about it. The next round of talks is scheduled for May. It is quite progressive that we agreed with Turkey to cover the agreement on industrial and agricultural goods, " - she said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Nataliia Mykolska, at the beginning of the negotiation process, it was only about industrial goods in the context of the FTA.

"This is a good promotion," she said.

She noted that the FTA of Ukraine and Israel, negotiations on which ended recently, would benefit small and medium-sized businesses.

"Even the fact of the completion of the negotiation process will stimulate the business to look more closely at the Israeli market, especially small and medium-sized, since this market is more inclined to work with small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, Ukrainian products are well-known in this country, because there is a large Ukrainian diaspora, - she commented.
