In January-May of this year Ukraine exported 29.7 thousand tons of poultry meat to the European Union, UNN reports referring to the statistical report of the European Commission.
Thus, Ukraine among European countries received the palm tree of the first place in the export of poultry meat to the EU.
Thailand and Brazil are also in the list of the largest exporters of poultry meat to the EU countries. Only over 5 months of this year, the countries exported 76 thousand tons and 69 thousand tons of poultry to the EU.
It bears reminding that in March of this year, the mission of the Directorate-General of the European Commission for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) checked the quality of the chicken meat of the country's largest exporter, the Myronivsky Hliboproduct Company. The European Commission came to the conclusion that the products of this company comply with international standards FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and BRC Food.
