Ukraine in 2017 imported 10 thousand tons of cheese with the export of 9.05 thousand tons.
This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the data of the State Fiscal Service (SFS).
Thus, the import of cheeses in physical terms increased by 42% compared to the figure for 2016 to 10 thousand tons, in monetary terms - by 58%, to $ 47.13 million. Simultaneously, the export of cheeses from Ukraine over the past year increased by 12%, to 9.05 thousand tons, and in monetary terms - by 34%, to $ 32.51 million.
In addition, according to the data, the export of butter from Ukraine over the past year increased 2.5 times, to 30.44 thousand tons, and in monetary terms - 3.5 times, to $ 129.86 million. Import to Ukraine creamy oil in 2017 amounted to 751 tons for $ 5 million, whereas in 2016 - 1.08 thousand tons worth $3.8 million.
In 2017, Ukraine also increased exports of dairy whey by 34%, to 31.94 tons, in monetary terms - by 1.7 times, to $ 24.83 million. Revenues from exports of condensed milk increased by 9% to $ 80.6 million, with a reduction in volumes in physical terms by 9.6% - to 46.83 thousand tons.
