There are 610 working cooperatives in the Ukrainian agrarian and industrial complex

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, at the end of 2017, there were 1125 cooperatives in Ukraine, of which 610 are working, while others exist only on paper. This is reported by liga.net.

The most active cooperatives are in Ivano-Frankivsk (72), Cherkasy (67), Kyiv (58), Kherson (46) and Ternopil (31) regions. Leaders of anti-rating on the share of non-working, but declared by documents cooperatives were Rivne (27 against 38, respectively), Sumy (33 against 47), Vinnytsia and Zakarpattia regions, where 67% of registered cooperatives do not operate.

The most common types of cooperative associations in Ukraine in the agricultural sector are multifunctional. They are more than half of the total.

Among the serving cooperatives, the most common are agrarian associations for joint harvesting (146) and dairy cooperatives (142). Also, associations for joint vegetable and fruit cultivation (79), meat cooperatives (51) and grain associations (40) are well developed.
