In Ternopil, Lviv, Poltava regions and Volyn were recorded cases of African swine fever (ASF). This is reported by the website of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection,  agropolit.com reported.

An unusual way to breed cows gave opportunities to the Volyn community. The animals are not tied up and placed in the most natural conditions, according to the Volyn Center for Local Self-Government Development, created with the support of the "U-LEAD with Europe" program and the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine, according to the Volyn News.

The oral vaccination of wild carnivores against rabies has began since October 1, 2017 in the Volyn region. It will approximately last for 10-12 days.
