In the last summer month consumer prices for socially important food products (a list of 23 items) mainly increased. At the same time, the rate of this growth, in most cases, did not exceed one percent. This was reported by the press service of the Economic Discussion Club, agravery.com reported.

The share of consumer total expenditures on food and non-alcoholic beverages was 47.9% in the structure of total household expenditure in 2017. This is the lowest figure since 1999, said the director of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics", academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences Yurii Lupenko, commenting on the data recently released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on household characteristics in Ukraine, the press service of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences reported.

Consumer prices in Ukraine in August 2018 compared with July have not changed, according to the State Statistics Service. Since the beginning of the year (by December 2017), prices in Ukraine have grown by 3.6%, agronews.ua reported.

Even the formal regulations are not complied with by business by 20-30%, not to mention the proper equipment of food units, inventory, disinfection, medical books, temperature regimes and commodity proximity. About 300 Ukrainian enterprises have the right to export to the European Union, of which 109 are food producers. The number of Ukrainian enterprises that received the right to export food products of animal origin, increased from 690 in October 2017 to 836 - as of early July 2018.

The top five regions with the highest food prices are: the leader of the rating, as always, is the capital, in which eight social products have the highest price among all regions of Ukraine.
