Removing the moratorium is hampered by the lack of a forecast for the development of the agro-industrial complex in the conditions of a free land market

The main reason for the extension of the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land is the lack of a forecast for the development of the market after the opening. This view was expressed by a member of the council of the association "Land Union of Ukraine" Serhii Bilenko during the discussion on "Incentives for farmers: interesting opportunities and pitfalls of state aid", reports the correspondent of AgroPolit.com.

According to him, while there is no clear vision of how employment in rural areas will change after the opening of the market, namely, the lifting of the moratorium raises a number of concerns.

The state rather well helped farming, but this started to use agroholdings through various connections that are difficult to trace. Now a few loopholes have been covered and state lands are acquired only through an auction. The interlayer that works in the shade is also formed. The size of the share on average is 4 hectares in Ukraine. In addition, the latest trends show that people are independently processing land, "- he has said.

Bilenko noted that there are branches (for example, potatoes) that are fully operating in independent farms. Nevertheless, at the same time they work in the shade.

There is no tax, the state does not receive anything, but this is the formation of business, and when the owners start earning more, they will want to step out of the shadows so that they do not have any complaints," the council member has said.

According to him, this is why the state should support small farms.

We need to be very cautious about the support of holdings, but there should be comfortable conditions for doing business, but small farmers have more needs for support," Serhii Bilenko has summed up.
