The purchase price for milk remains low, but there are many people who want to be engaged in stock breeding

According to official statistics, there are more investment projects in the agrarian sphere that are related to the development of stock breeding, infagro.com.ua reported.

At the beginning of the year, 112 such projects were registered for a total of 10 billion UAH, or almost a quarter of the total.

So, it looks like milk will be in the country, even if for some time the purchase price for it will remain low.

Ukrainian peasants are eager to "help" in solving their problems. Recently in the parliament, Liashko’s party registered a bill, according to which the country should prohibit the use of palm oil in food production. And this initiative is allegedly supported by a number of parliamentary factions and even an agrarian committee. As one of the arguments justifying the need to adopt this bill, most often it sounds that this raw material is widely used in the dairy industry.

It is unlikely that this proposal will be supported by the parliament; it is too global a question. Completely ban the use of palm oil in the country is unrealistic, because such raw materials are used not only by milkmen. It has become indispensable also in the confectionery, bakery and meat industries.

But even if there is no ban on the use of palm oil, its use in Ukraine in the near future will still decline, at least in the dairy industry.

There are several reasons: the awareness of buyers who begin to discern what the dairy product is, and what is the milk-containing product is; decrease in falsification in production due to the lifting of the moratorium on inspections (since April 4 the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has received new powers), the risk of losing the main external markets for the sale of cheese products is much higher, when the output of the dairy industry uses more vegetable fats.
