In Ukraine the production of pork meat decreased by 6.3% in May 2018. This was reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, according to agropolit.com.
The production of pork in Ukraine decreased by about 18 thousand tons compared to May last year. It increased by 12.3% compared with April 2018 .
Over the first five months of this year 82.9 thousand tons of fresh or chilled pork meat were produced in Ukraine.
In parallel Ukraine is increasing imports of foreign pork and lard. This figure for the first 5 months of 2018 grew almost 7 times.
