Despite the decline in demand for dry milk, processors are forced to launch large quantities of dryers. They simply do not have any other choice. There is nowhere to put surplus raw materials, agroday.com.ua reported.
Alternative direction can be the production of cheese products. However, it becomes even less promising because of export problems.
Expecting a significant increase in the production of dry milk, analysts predict a drop in prices for it. The price of the external demand of the western traders for dried skim milk at $ 1400/ton is announced, and at the end of April it can become fully operational. On the domestic market, even now the product is often offered for less than 50 thousand UAH/ton.
Taking into account world trends, the situation on the Ukrainian market of dried whole milk remains stable.
On the domestic market, about 80 thousand UAH/ton are paid for the goods, for sale at 2800-3000 $/ton.
In comparison with dried skim milk, prices are pretty decent. The only bad thing is that it is not possible to sell large quantities of goods. But, perhaps, in the near future, traders will still find opportunities to promote the Ukrainian dried whole milk to world markets, because at a price the Ukrainian goods are quite attractive.
