Today, the Arab market is interested in Ukrainian beef, obtained as a result of halal slaughter. The main task of the domestic manufacturer is to get a premium price for this high-quality product. This was reported by Yevhen Shatokhin, an international expert on poultry and cattle.

"The most important aspect of fattening any young cattle in the conditions of Ukraine is the technology of grain fattening. Unlike in South America or Australia, we do not have the opportunity to use quality pastures throughout the year. However, in Ukraine there is an ace- the cheapest grain in the world," says he.

According to Yevhen Shatokhin, grain fattening gives high-quality meat, which has a higher price than the meat of herb fattening.

He singled out one more important aspect in technology - the castration of bull-calves, because the meat of eunuchs has the best consumer quality and, accordingly, the best price.

The expert noted: "It is also important to ensure a stable livestock population, has the same degree of fatness, weight, age, and which was seen on the same rations. This will allow to form container lots for dynamic shipments to the consumption markets ".

In his view, the maximum profit can be obtained only under the condition of control of fattening, slaughter / processing and marketing.

"This model is also incapable without a reference to foreign markets. The potential profit can be up to $ 2 per kilogram of live weight, which is more than $ 1,000 per animal. The volume of this market is more than $ 2 billion per year, " says Yevgeny Shatokhin.

On the main principles of fattening and important aspects of diets of cattle for obtaining beef of high price categories, the national consultant FAO will tell on November 24 the first congress of producers and exporters of beef Ukrainian Beef Congress - events, will disclose the secrets of new sources of profit in the market of beef and cattle. The event will be held within the framework of the exhibition Ukrainian Food Expo.
