On April 2 in the city of Accra (Ghana) the Ukrainian official delegation began its work in the framework of the first Ukrainian trade mission to Ghana and Nigeria. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (MEDT).

"Nigeria is one of the markets that is in focus for our exports according to Ukraine's export strategy. In general, among such markets there are the EU (28) and 20 other countries in the world. Nigeria can play the role of a logistics hub for Ukraine when entering other African markets. Both countries are among the most promising markets on the African continent due to the high rate of growth in the number of consumers. That is why we open African markets to Ukrainian exporters," Nataliia Mykolska, Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, and Ukraine's trade representative said.

According to her, the main task of the trade mission is to present Ukrainian goods and services on the African market, hold B2B and government meetings to establish and expand trade relations and study the system of export-import relations and trade barriers. Thus, our exporters will be able to establish direct contacts with the Ghanaian and Nigerian companies.

"This trade mission is of strategic importance for Ukrainian business. The economy of the region shows rapid growth and according to forecasts, Nigeria is the first among the countries of Africa to enter the TOP-20 world economies by 2030. Therefore, Ukrainian manufacturers need to enter it today: to conduct market analysis, to seek contacts, to develop a logistics and marketing strategy. This is a long work that we begin with this trade mission," the head of the office for the promotion of exports Mariana Kahaniak said.
