  • Obligatory registration of domestic animals can be introduced in Ukraine

    Parliamentarians intend to oblige owners of cats and dogs to register their pets. The deputies submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill that provides for universal chipping and the availability of a veterinary passport for every pet. In addition, stray animals will also be recorded everywhere, and farmers and stock breeders are expected to have a clearer registration procedure for livestock. All animals are planned to assign a unique identification number, and information on their health status, movements and owners should be entered into a special database.   • Trade turnover in the agro-industrial complex between Ukraine and the EU increased by 4.4% over 7 months of 2018

    According to the results of January-July of 2018, the foreign trade turnover of agrarian goods between Ukraine and the EU countries increased by 4 4% and amounted to almost $ 4.6 billion.
