Parliamentarians intend to oblige owners of cats and dogs to register their pets. The deputies submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill that provides for universal chipping and the availability of a veterinary passport for every pet. In addition, stray animals will also be recorded everywhere, and farmers and stock breeders are expected to have a clearer registration procedure for livestock. All animals are planned to assign a unique identification number, and information on their health status, movements and owners should be entered into a special database.
