In the Sumy region new cases of African swine fever were recorded. This is stated in the message of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, UNN reported.
It is reported that the disease and the death of pigs were recorded at a personal subsidiary farm in the village of Sobycheve, Shostkynskyi district, Sumy region.
In the study of selected samples a diagnosis African swine fever was established.
"In the foci of the disease measures are taken to localize and prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF," is said in the report.
It bears reminding that over the past two years in Ukraine about 80 thousand pigs were slaughtered due to the outbreak of ASF. According to People's Deputy Serhii Tryhubenko, it is possible to minimize losses of farmers and the state by restoring the practice of insurance of farms from ASF.
