New cases of ASF are recorded in two regions

According to the information of the General Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the Mykolaiv region, on 05/04/2018 at a dump near the summer cottage cooperative "Barvinok" near the H-24 highway between Sebino village and Pisky village (Novoodeskyi district) the corpse of a wild boar was detected, agronews.ua reported.

In the study of selected samples of biomaterial in the Dnepropetrovsk regional state laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection on 06/04/2018, the DNA of the African swine fever virus (ASF) was detected.

In addition, according to the information of the General Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the Cherkasy region, on 04/06/2018, in the personal subsidiary farm of a citizen residing in the Tashlyk village (Smelianskyi district), the disease and death of a pig were recorded.

In the study of selected samples of biomaterial in Cherkasy regional state laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, on 04/06/2018, the ASF diagnosis was recorded.

In order to coordinate actions to localize and eliminate outbreaks of ASF, a meeting of state emergency antiepizootic commissions was held in Novoodeskyi and Smelianskyi regional state administrations, plans for the elimination of ASF approved, the borders of epizootic foci, protection and surveillance zones defined.

In the foci of the disease, measures are taken to localize and prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF.
