Meat will unevenly rise in price by the end of the year

According to Oleksii Doroshenko, the meat in any case will rise in price. The expert said that, compared with prices in the EU, all types of meat, except for salo, are inexpensive in Ukraine. In addition, we have the cheapest bread.

It is expected that monthly Ukrainian meat will add one or two UAH to the cost. Beef has shown approximately this growth since the beginning of the year, monthly adding 1-2 UAH in price. Pork on the contrary rose in price due to the fact that the dollar was growing, then prices began to decrease slightly. As for chicken, this type of meat initially grew in price, and then began to decline, due to the fact that the world price for chicken is fairly stable.

Also the specialist added that in the past two years the cost of meat has grown at a faster pace than the average salary of Ukrainians.

For example, over the past two years, from April 2016 to April 2018, the cost of a meat basket and eggs have increased by 60%. At the same time, the average salary rose by 59%.
