Over the past five years losses for the pigs withdrawn as a result of quarantine measures for the reasons of ASF amount to 170.3 million UAH. This is reported by agravery.com with reference to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
"According to the information of the regional state administrations and the main departments of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in the regions, over the period since 2012 to May 11, 2018, losses for the pigs withdrawn as a result of quarantine measures due to ASF in private peasant farms amounted to 19 million UAH (in fact 17.5 million UAH), and in specialized pig farms - 151.3 million UAH (actually paid 1.8 million UAH)," is said in the ministry.
The service specified that since the beginning of 2018 losses in personal peasant farms reached 377.3 thousand UAH. Of these, in fact, a little less than a third was paid - 93.9 thousand UAH.
At the same time, losses in specialized pig farms since the beginning of 2018 amounted to 1.6 million UAH. Payment in this case was not carried out at all, is added in the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
