Today, on December 13, the chairman of the Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association, Iryna Palamar, held an official meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan, Mr. Alisher Khabibullayevich Abdualiev.

The meeting focused on the establishment of cooperation in the field of livestock between the Ukrainian and Uzbek businesses, attracting investment in Ukraine, the implementation of joint business projects in livestock.

"Uzbekistan is a fairly successful state in terms of the economy, including the level of livestock development," says Iryna Palamar. - According to the world indicators, Uzbekistan currently occupies the fourth place in the world for export of cotton, the ninth - for export of gold and 11th - for uranium. 37% of Uzbekistan's GDP is produced by industry, 53% by small business, and they are only 20% of external debt in relation to GDP. It is a fairly rich country.

And they managed to achieve this level thanks to the adoption of a number of comprehensive government programs to support individual industries. In particular, to support livestock, a program was introduced in which large companies, holdings, were not even related to agriculture, had to build farms and buy cattle of high-quality world genetics, which was then distributed to the population. Thanks to this approach, it was possible to significantly increase the number of cattle in the country.

But, despite such a significant increase, they continue to strive to develop the industry, and are interested in cooperation with Ukraine, in particular, in the direction of importing the forage base, cattle live, as well as in the areas of poultry and pig production.

To date, Ukraine already exports animals to Uzbekistan, and these volumes are too small, they are ready to take much more. "

During the conversation, an agreement was reached that the next step would be the visit of the Ukrainian delegation from the members of the USBA and business representatives to Uzbekistan in order to get acquainted with the possibilities of cooperation, discussing further details of joint work and negotiating with potential partners.
