IFC is launching a new project for a subsector of agriculture – milk production.

This was told by Olena Voloshyna, head of the IFC office in Ukraine, in an interview with AgroPolit.com "IFC is launching a new project to support the dairy sector."

According to Olena Voloshyna, IFC is entering a new dairy subsector of agriculture.

"The project is approved and will be presented in general within a month. For many years this sector suffered, so today it's nice to see the potential. Previously, the consumer was "unpretentious" in this sector. Russia took all the products it could. Now this market is closed to us, and our producers are looking for new markets, so new standards are needed, " says she.

According to the head of the IFC office in Ukraine, cooperation will be established from the corporate. "We will arrange trainings and consultations, and they will be available to cooperatives, small farmers and large producers," explains the expert.

It bers reminding that according to the new DSTU in Ukraine should remain three varieties of extra milk, the highest and the first. Such requirements are specified in the relevant agreement with the EU. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine postponed the introduction of this rule until July 1, 2018. The Ukrainian Stock Breeders Association offers another year permit to sell home dairy products.

To the question: "The abolition of the third grade is good or bad for Ukraine?", Olena Voloshyna replied:
"Everything can be looked at from the position "the glass is half empty or full”. "I'm an optimist, so I try to see the opportunity than loss.
