On June 6 within the framework of the AGRO-2018 exhibition with the support of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club", the UCABevent agency and the Business Finland organization, a business meeting was held with a delegation of Finnish companies who arrived in Kiev to establish trade relations with Ukrainian companies in the agricultural sector.

A delegation of representatives from five Finnish companies arrived in Kyiv to introduce the Ukrainian market products and solutions designed to achieve maximum efficiency, safety and environmental stability.

The seminar program consisted of two parts. At the plenary, there was a professional discussion between Finnish and Ukrainian companies with the participation of representatives of business, non-governmental organizations and representatives of the Embassy of Finland. During the second part, B2B meetings between Finnish and Ukrainian companies took place. Participants discussed the possibilities of Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation, considered available financial instruments for Ukrainian agrarian companies, and presented the latest technologies and solutions from Finnish companies.

"Finnish equipment can improve the productivity of Ukraine's agriculture, which is being modernized, and create new business opportunities for Ukrainian distributors. Finnish companies are ready to acquaint the Ukrainian market with products and solutions designed to achieve maximum efficiency, safety and environmental stability," Elina Pushkarzhevych, director of the Agrotechnology from Finland program said.

Finnish agro-industrial companies that have arrived in Ukraine are known for investing in research and innovation, and have extensive experience in manufacturing machinery for harsh operating conditions.

For example, the engineering company Suokone specializes in designing and manufacturing machines for soil cultivation in various conditions, including powerful low-tonnage tractors.

"Our peat machines and crushers are used in more than 20 countries around the world and are known for their strength and efficiency. Ukrainian farmers will benefit from our modular crushers, which facilitates the modification or addition of additional functions in accordance with the specific needs of the customer. The machines are ideal for finishing wooded areas and wastelands for the purpose of their further agricultural use," Mikko Vanhanen, sales manager for Suokone said.

MPH Products company carries out various engineering works, design and manufacture of steel structures (according to standard EN1090), and also produces and sells a wide range of metal products for agriculture and industrial needs.

"We can provide large farms of Ukraine and Ukrainian contractors with reliable graders, ditch plows, auger profiling units and bale trailers, which will increase profitability and productivity. For example, a multifunctional trailed grader with interchangeable attachments can be used for leveling roads, farmland and peat extraction points, as well as for other purposes - combating icing, snow removal or maintenance of dirt roads," Ari Kuhalampi, Sales Director of MPH Products explained.

The company Figen is the main supplier of breeding pigs and boar sperm in Finland. At the international level the company manages a comprehensive breeding program for pigs.

"Ukraine is known for its long-standing traditions of pig breeding and we know that Ukrainian farmers are interested in increasing the volume of meat production. The breeding of our breeding pigs will help to reach a new level of quality and economy, which will increase the profitability of Ukrainian pig complexes," Johanna Kylä-Lassila, export manager of Figen Ltd said.

Also at the meeting were presented the company Nipere, specializing in milling and feed milling systems and JJPT-Industria, engaged in the manufacture of equipment for the production of feed.
