Find out on what food products do Ukrainians spend the most

In the first quarter of this year enterprises-legal entities, whose main economic activity is retail trade, sold food products worth 65 billion 459 million UAH, which is 25.8% more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics, UNN reported.

 

So, during the reporting period, most Ukrainians spent the most money on confectionery products (including ice cream) - 4.5 billion UAH.

Further on, the list of the largest expenditures of Ukrainians is followed by tobacco products - 4.2 billion UAH, milk and dairy products - 4.089 billion UAH, fresh fruits, berries, grapes and nuts - 4.005 billion UAH.

At the same time during the first quarter of 2018,  the least amount of money Ukrainians spent on edible animal fats - 10.1 million UAH, salt - 78 million UAH, canned fruit and berry - 156.8 million UAH, semi-finished meat - 181,1 million UAH.

Over the past five years (the first quarter of 2018 -  the first quarter of 2013), the turnover of retail trade in food products in Ukraine increased by 74.5%.
