Until 2026 the world expects a significant increase in consumption of livestock products. This was reported by the leading economist of FAO Dmytro Prykhodko, agravery.com reported.

According to him, the growth of poultry meat consumption in the global market is expected to be 12%. Most of all, it will increase in the countries of the African continent: Sudan, Nigeria and Ethiopia.

In addition, the world's beef consumption will increase by 10% over eight years, pork - 9%, and dairy products - 20%.

"Such a growth in demand for meat and dairy products will lead to increased demand for corn," Dmytro Prykhodko said.

FAO predicts that countries in the Asian region and northern Africa will increase corn consumption by 16%, while Latin American countries, especially Brazil and Argentina - by 20%.

"In Europe, corn consumption is also expected to grow by 12%," the economist added.
