The export of Ukrainian goods to the EU in 2017 for the first time exceeded the pre-crisis level

Due to high growth rates last year, the volume of exports to the EU for the first time exceeded the level of 2013, then exports amounted to $ 16.7 billion and in 2014 - $ 17 billion.

This is reported by landlord.ua. Last year, the export of Ukrainian goods to the EU increased by 29.9% and amounted to $ 17.5 billion, which is 40.5% of the total sales of Ukrainian goods abroad. Such data was made public on the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. But, the total volume of Ukrainian exports so far has reached only 68% of the level of 2013.

The highest growth rates of Ukrainian exports to Belgium - by 81.4%, the Netherlands - by 68.5% and Latvia - by 54.7%. Among the EU countries, the largest volume of Ukrainian goods is exported to Poland - $ 2.7 billion. At the same time, the growth rate of exports to Poland is below the average - only 23.8%. Ukrainian exports to Italy grew by 28% and reached $ 2.5 billion, 23.2% to Germany from $ 1.7 billion and 26% to Hungary, where exports reached $ 1.3 billion.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, following the export, the import of goods from the European Union grew by 21.3%, which is $ 20.7 billion. The total Ukrainian export in 2017 grew by 19%, reaching $ 43.2 billion. In exchange, imports increased by 26.4%, to 49.6 billion. Russia is traditionally one of the largest exporters of Ukrainian goods - its component in the structure of Ukrainian exports is 9.1%. There were sold goods worth $ 3.9 billion, growth in 2017 was 9.6%.

On the second place - Poland, on the third - Turkey $ 2.5 billion, growth - by 28%. Also in the top 10 key markets for Ukrainian goods are Italy, India $ 2.2 billion, China $ 2 billion, 11.3% and Egypt $ 1.8 billion, Germany and Netherlands $ 1.6 billion.
