The export of chicken eggs from Ukraine as a result of 2017 will increase by 1.5 times as compared to the previous year.

This was reported by Svitlana Pashko, Senior Researcher of the Pricing and Agricultural Market Department of the National Research Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics".
According to her, only for January-October, 2017 Ukraine exported 71.52 thousand tons of eggs against 50.68 thousand tons last year.

Most of the Ukrainian fresh eggs in the shell for 10 months of 2017 were purchased by the countries of Asia and Africa.

"The United Arab Emirates has been holding the leading positions in the rating of the largest importers of domestic eggs in the shell for several years. This country, which in 2012 bought only 1.13 thousand tons of Ukrainian eggs, is increasing its imports of this type of domestic products at the fastest rates. For 5 years, the UAE increased imports almost 20 times and in 2016 bought 20.92 thousand tons of eggs in Ukraine, " says the expert.

According to her, at present Ukraine has grounds for resuming supplies to countries that temporarily imposed restrictions on the import of Ukrainian poultry products last year, and in the future to increase the supply of Ukrainian eggs to the world market.

"At the same time, it should be noted that over the past year, world prices for eggs have fallen. The average price of fresh eggs left in Ukraine in January-October 2017 was $ 721 per ton (in terms of UAH - about 12-13 UAH per dozen). Given the higher prices of the domestic market, it is more attractive to domestic producers, " sums up Svitlana Pashko.

Recall that the gross output of livestock in 2017 is expected at the level of 69.2 billion UAH, which is 0.6% less than in 2016.
