The EU mission completed the assessment of the quality of the domestic system of state control over the production of poultry meat

Within two months the EU mission will publish a report on the assessment of the system of state control over the production of poultry meat. This is written on the website of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

It bears reminding that today not all milk, fish and meat that are produced in Ukraine have standards adopted for the EU countries. Within the period from February 27 to March 9, 2018 the work of the European Commission's Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE), which conducted an audit of the state control system for the production of poultry meat and products derived from it, intended for export to the European The Union.

"Within the framework of the visit to Ukraine the representatives of the European Commission met with the management and specialists of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection both at the central level and at the level of a number of main departments of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, during which they got acquainted with the functions and powers of the Service, in particular, in making decisions on the export of products to the EU countries", is said in the report.

Also in the framework of the work the mission representatives visited the central laboratory of the State Research Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise (Kyiv), studied the activities of a number of manufacturing and processing enterprises and slaughter shops.

As a result of the work of the mission, a report will be compiled within a month, to which the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection will be able to provide comments. After that, the report will be published on the website of DG SANTE.
