The draft law on the fundamentals of agrarian policy is registered in the parliament

This framework law is primarily a strategy that offers a plan for a comprehensive reform of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine and closer to the standards of the European Union.

Preparation and registration of this extremely important bill is an example of fruitful cooperation of the Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the public professional associations and European partners. Adoption of the bill will lay a solid foundation for further systemic reforms in the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy. In general, 29 People's Deputies acted as initiators of the project.

The Strategy defines 10 priorities of the state agrarian policy in accordance with the European integration commitments, including: food security, small producers, agroinnovational environmental protection, forestry, employment, competitiveness, land issues, tourist attraction, improving the quality of life.
