The Danish parliament approved the building of protective fence against the ASF on the border with Germany, pigua.info reported.

The Danish Parliament in Copenhagen approved the allocation of budget funds for the anti-pig construction, which will be a border fence with length of 70 km and a width of 1.5 meters.

The purpose of the design is to prevent the movement of wild boars, potential carriers of African swine fever, from the territory of Germany to Denmark.

Until now, Germany maintained defense against the epidemic of ASF, but the disease continues to spread in Eastern Europe.

Danish authorities are very afraid that ASF will get into the country. This is fraught with serious economic losses, as pig production and pork exports are an important source of income for the Danish economy.
