The cattle stock in Ukraine as of October 1 was 4.14 million animal units, which is 0.5% less than the same date for 2016, incl. cows - 2.121 million animal units (-1.9%).
This is reported by The DairyNews with reference to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
It is also reported that the number of pigs before the beginning of the month compared to the indicator a year earlier decreased by 9.3% (to 6.762 million animal units), while sheep and goats increased by 0.4% (to 1.577 million animal units), poultry - by 3.2% (up to 233.733 million animal units).
