The new increase in prices in Ukraine for food products is caused by fluctuations in the price policy for imported goods, rather than the rise in price of social standards.
This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman.
I am also concerned about rising prices, especially with regard to food. This is all due not to the growth of social standards, but to fluctuations in external markets. If we look at the rise in prices abroad, we understand that there are problems here, where imports already weigh on Ukrainian prices, the head of government has said.
According to him, one of the main tasks of the Cabinet of Ministers is to create conditions under which revenue growth will outpace price growth.
We are trying a number of activities that will allow us, on the one hand, to stop growth in some categories of goods. In addition, we have seasonal fluctuations, it is an obvious fact that, for example, in the autumn, one group of goods becomes more expensive, Hroisman has stressed.
