According to the information of the General Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in Ternopil region, the wild boar was shot on the territory of the “Stizhok” hunting farm of LLC “RIO” (Shumskyi district).

In the study of selected samples of biomaterial in the Lviv Regional State Laboratory of Veterinary Medicine on 26.01.2018, the DNA of the ASF virus was identified (report on the results of the study No. 000095 p.m./18 of 26.01.2018).
In order to coordinate actions to localize and eliminate the outbreak of ASF, the meeting of the State Extraordinary Epizootic Commission of the Shumskyi District State Administration was held, the decision of which approved the plan for the elimination of ASF, the borders of the epizootic focus, protection zones and surveillance.
