ASF in Romania: new cases in the east of the country

A new case of African swine fever among domestic pigs was recorded in a previously prosperous region of Romania, pigua.info reported.

This disease was first recorded in Romania in August 2017.

Despite the fact that outbreaks were first recorded in the Satu Mare district, in the north-east of the country, a recent case of ASF was found in the east of Romania in Tulcea city.

Now the OIE has reported a new outbreak of disease in the Constanta district. Veterinary service revealed the mortality of pigs in a private household of a citizen in the Istria village.
