ASF: new cases in the Kyiv and Poltava regions

2 new cases of African swine fever were recorded from 11 to 19 September 2018 in Ukraine. This is stated by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, pigua.info reported.

Namely:

September 13, 2018 — at SE “Panfyly Experimental Station” located in the village of Panfyly, Yahotyn district of the Kyiv region.

September 15, 2018 — at the subsidiary farm of the Lishchynivka psychoneurological boarding house located in the village of Lishchynivka, Kobeliatskyi district of the Poltava region.

In order to coordinate actions to localize and eliminate outbreaks of ASF, a meeting of state emergency antiepizootic commissions was held, the decisions of which approved plans for the elimination of ASF, the borders of epizootic foci, protection and surveillance zones.

In the foci of the disease measures are taken to localize and prevent the spread of the pathogen of ASF.
