Agrarians of Ukraine will be allocated almost 1 billion UAH in the form of compensation for the cost of equipment

It should be noted that last year domestic farmers used only 24% of the program to compensate the cost of equipment, is slightly more than 134 million UAH. Under this mechanism, domestic farmers purchased about 80 tractors, 1 combine harvester and more than 2,000 units of tillage and sowing equipment for a total amount of 804.3 million UAH.

The increase in the amount of funding for the program is almost double, looks illogical, even taking into account the fact that the technology market of the past year has doubled.

"Preconditions for significant growth in demand for domestic equipment are not observed, especially against the backdrop of growing domestic agricultural imports of agricultural equipment. For example, over 10 months of 2017, the supply of tractors and harvesters of foreign production to Ukraine increased 1.6 times, and tillage machinery increased twofold. Even if we take into account the general trend in the growth of the technical market, only half of the funds allocated will be used, " says the expert.

The main thing that experts offer is to expand the list of equipment and equipment that fall under the compensation program.

"Having almost a billion UAH for technical re-equipment for manufacturers, it is doubtful that it will be used for 100 or even 60% for these purposes, given the level of use of the funds of the previous year. Therefore, we propose to expand the list of equipment and equipment that falls under the compensation program. For example, to add UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles / drones) to agriculture or equipment for elevator farming. "
