The volume of agricultural products sold by agrarian enterprises in January-May 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017 increased by 7.4%. This is reported by the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, agropolit.com reported.
The report says that the average prices for the sale of agricultural products by agricultural enterprises in all directions for January-May 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017 increased by 12.3%, including crop production - by 10.2%, livestock - by 22.9%.
In May, as compared to April of this year, the average prices of sold agrarian products decreased by 2.1%, including crop production - by 1.3%, livestock - by 5.9%.
As of June 1, 2018 8.3 million tons of grain was available in agricultural enterprises (except small ones) and enterprises that store and process crops of grain and leguminous crops (6.0% less than in June 1, 2017), in particular 2.7 million tons of wheat, 4.3 million tons of maize, 0.7 million tons of barley, 0.1 million tons of rye; stocks of sunflower seeds amounted to 1.8 million tons (13.2% less than on June 1, 2017).
