Quotas are not a defining parameter of our trade with the EU.

In the first nine months of 2017, the growth of agricultural exports to the EU amounted to 39.7% (from 2.88 billion to 4.03 billion dollars). The share of the European market increased from 27.74 to 31.15%.

This was in an interview with ZN.UA told the first deputy minister of agrarian policy Maksym Martyniuk. In his opinion, quotas are not the defining parameter of our trade with the EU. "Honey is an example of how Ukrainian producers repeatedly overlap the quota of 5,400 tons." I am convinced that the key to export to Europe lies in the pocket of small but highly efficient and high-tech producers. Europe does not need in such volumes our main export position grain.

But, for example, the product of deep processing of corn - lysine, which is used in feeds as an additive, is probably much more in demand. Also organic has an unlimited potential, " says the deputy minister.
